Apply for Admission (rolling)
Seton LaSalle has rolling admissions, which means that you can submit an application at any time. At this point in the year, however, we recommend that you submit your application for admission as soon as possible so that (1) we are aware of your family’s interest and can communicate important dates and events to you, and (2) if you apply for financial aid, you can be considered when we have the full amount of funds available. Families who apply later in the year may not have as much aid available to them because it has already been allocated to other families.
Apply for Financial Aid (March 15 and April 22)
Approximately 70% of Seton LaSalle families apply for need-based financial aid. To apply for need-based aid, you will submit a FACTS application. You may choose your deadline: Apply by March 15 to be considered in the first round of aid allocation and to receive your financial aid package in April. Or, apply by April 22 to receive your financial aid package in May.
We do the most we can to support every family and will gladly work with you one-on-one. Please reach out to me to schedule a meeting to discuss your family’s customized financial aid package.
Apply for Scholarships (March 1)
Seton LaSalle offers merit-based scholarships where we consider an applicant’s commitment to academics, lived faith and expression of core beliefs, leadership, service, and kindness towards others. The deadline is Saturday, March 1, 2025.
In addition to SLS Scholarships, there are outside scholarships to which your child can apply. Some of the organizations that sponsor scholarships, such as Junior Achievement, work with our school to communicate scholarship information and deadlines. Other organizations, foundations, churches, etc. may offer their own scholarships but we are not aware of them, so we encourage you to look around to find if there are any other opportunities that your family could pursue.
Return the Course Recommendation Form (April 30)
Our guidance department requests grade school/middle school records for each applicant. We review these records and course recommendations from your child’s current teachers as well as your child’s placement test scores (if available) to make recommendations for his/her 9th grade courses. We will mail this recommended course schedule to you. Your family will review the information, approve it or request changes, and then send it back. You are welcome to meet with guidance to discuss any questions, concerns, or goals that you have. The deadline for returned schedules is Wednesday, April 30.
Review Your Financial Aid Package (May)
By early May we mail your financial aid package that will include any need-based aid (if you applied to FACTS) and SLS merit-based scholarships (if you applied for them). Outside scholarships have varying deadlines and can be applied to your account at any time. If you have questions about your financial aid package, please reach out to us. We want to make a Seton LaSalle experience possible for your family.
