To celebrate #InternationalDayofEducation, we look to our school’s patrons. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the patron saint of Catholic schools, founded both the first Catholic girls' school in the nation and the first American congregation of the Sisters of Charity. St. John Baptist de La Salle, the patron saint for teachers and founder of the Christian Brothers, was a pioneer in founding training colleges for teachers, reform schools, technical schools, and secondary schools for modern languages, arts, and sciences. May their lives and the religious orders they left as their legacies serve to remind us that pursuing excellence in education allows us to reach our fullest, God-given potential. #BeARebel
