Tournament of Champions
We welcomed the 8th-grade classes from 9 local Catholic grade schools to participate in the Tournament of Champions on September 30th! The students were divided into teams and competed in a Kahoot trivia challenge, a STEM egg drop contest, a knockout tournament, and more. A special thank you to one of our co-Chaplains Father Mike Ackerman for his talk on Catholic servant leadership to all of the students. After a very tight competition, Team Angel emerged victorious. Check out our video highlights from the day here.
Rebel Recreation Period
To more accurately live out the Seton LaSalle mission of cultivating the growth of the whole person, the faculty and staff instituted a monthly Rebel Recreation period this year. This 50-minute period allows students to select from a list of more than 20 co-curricular clubs to participate in during the school day. Clubs range from fantasy football, academic games, and chess to crochet, robotics, and walking. Our students had a blast and are already looking forward to November!
RebelFest
We enjoyed another successful RebelFest Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, September 21st, before the Homecoming football game! Thank you to our cheerleaders and band for their performances, as well as the food trucks and beer and wine booths for providing delicious refreshments.
