Meet Kayla Edwards

Mrs. Edwards comes to us in the 2024-2025 school year as the new Assistant Principal, she has been teaching and leading within the Diocese of Pittsburgh since 2012. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Clarion University for Secondary English 7 - 12 and is also certified in Technology Education K - 12. She holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instructional Design, as well as an additional Graduate Certification for School Principal K - 12 from Point Park University. Most of her tenure was spent at Saint Benedict the Moor School located in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. During the COVID-19 Pandemic she served as the Pittsburgh City Regional Catholic Elementary Schools’ Virtual Learning Coordinator in conjunction with her in-person teaching.

 

She says that her main goal in and out of the classroom has always been to help students develop problem solving skills that they can use wherever they may go in life. In her administrative role she has been embracing the model of Leading by Example as pertaining to students, staff, and parents by demonstrating the hard work and dedication she would like to see in others.

 

She is very excited to get to know our students and build relationships with our families. Seton LaSalle’s faith filled environment and mission align with her continued dedication towards education and the goal to keep Christ at the center of learning and development in our youth. Outside of the building she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children she hopes to bring them to many of our sporting events and activities throughout the year!
