Thomas Gray

Thomas Gray graduated from California University of PA in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Social Studies.  After 3 years of experience in Pittsburgh Public Schools, he was hired at the Shaler Area School District. In his  27 years at Shaler, Thomas gained experience as a Social Studies teacher, Social Studies Department head, and Activities Director. He also worked in partnership with the Smithsonian Institute and Leadership Pittsburgh. He coached baseball for 20 years, earning a City League championship at Langley High School and a state runner-up and WPIAL Championship in 1999 at Shaler. A student of the American Civil War, he is a member of the Center for Civil War Photography, Gettysburg Foundation, and American Battlefield Trust.
